O’Neal is a college preparatory school dedicated to the development of academic excellence, strength of character, and physical well-being of its students in an environment where integrity, self-discipline, and consideration for others are fundamental.
O’Neal is accredited jointly by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). Active memberships are held in the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the North Carolina Association of Independent Schools (NCAIS), the Cum Laude Society, the National Honor Society, and Tuition Aid/Data Services (TADS).
The O’Neal School is operated under the leadership of the Headmaster and governed by a self -perpetuated Board of Trustees made up of parents and community members.
